Possible Ogham Letter?

"I found this small stone recently while crossing over Coumaraglin mountain near Kilrossanty. What makes it interesting is the mark on one side which is 2 mm deep.

The stone itself, which measures just 5X5 cm and is red sandstone.

The big question is, was the mark naturally formed or incised as it appears to be.

More importantly if it was cut into the stone then what did it represent?

One possible theory is that it could be an Ogham Rune with the letter “Huath” (as referred to Here ) which relates to the hawthorn tree on the Ogham alphabet".

Looks very like a runic letter from a medieval period.
Compare it with the letter A in this series of symbols
